Police Break Up Riots At HOT 97 Summer Jam
Police reportedly used tear gas on rioters outside Metlife Stadium today.
While Meek Mill, Big Sean, and Fabolous performed within the walls of Metlife stadium, chaos ensued outside. Reports from the scene that some ticket holders were not able to gain entrance to the venue, and began to cause a scene when it appeared they would not be refunded.
Riot police reportedly intervened when a group of people attempted to rush the entrance of the event. Arrests were subsequently made, and its said that tear gas was used on some rioters. At some point, a giant armored vehicle pulled up and blocked anyone from entering the venue.
Some footage from the scene can be viewed below. HOT 97 has confirmed that any tickets that were not scanned will be refunded at the point of purchase.
